Driver Steve Nowicki prepares for Sunday's Cup race in 95 degree heat. He finished the race in 5th place, the first driver in a 1.6 Miata, and the first across the line without a professionally built, $6000 Sunbelt prepared engine. King Motorsports Unlimited prepared the cylinder head, mated to a stock 73k mile bottom end.

Nowicki finished fourth overall in points for the weekend out of 72 Spec Miata competitors.
